Chrome Extension

The Grove Chrome extension lets you tip creators directly on social platforms like 𝕏.

Prerequisite

Before using the extension, you must first sign in and deposit funds at app.grove.city.

Supported Browsers​

The Grove extension works with any Chromium-based browser:

Installation​

Production Release​

Install from the Chrome Web Store.

Beta Release​

Get early access to new features by installing the beta version:

  1. Download the latest beta

  2. Unzip to a folder on your computer

  3. Go to chrome://extensions

  4. Enable Developer mode (top-right toggle)

  5. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder

  6. Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar, then click the pin icon next to Grove to keep it visible

Updating the Beta​

Auto-updates: Beta installs check for new releases hourly. When an update is available, a red badge appears on the extension icon and a banner shows in the popup.

To update manually: Download the new zip, unzip it, then click the refresh icon on the Grove extension card at chrome://extensions.

Syncing Your Account​

Connect your Grove account to the extension:

  1. Go to your Grove profile at app.grove.city/profile
  2. Copy your Secret Key
  3. Open the Grove extension
  4. Paste your Secret Key to sync

Your extension is now connected to your funded wallet.

Using the Extension​

  1. Browse a supported platform
  2. Find a creator displaying an EVM address or ENS name
  3. Click the Grove extension
  4. Enter an amount and send your tip

Tips arrive in seconds.

The extension provides quick access to:

  • Top Up — Add more funds to your Grove wallet
  • History — View your tip history
  • Leaderboard — See top tippers and earners

These are also available at app.grove.city.
